Plastic Surgery

Excess fat accumulated in different parts of the body due to various factors may often be resistant to exercise and diets. The process of removing excess fat that cannot be removed with exercise and diet and re-shaping the body is called liposuction.

Liposuction process is applied using the traditional liposuction method as well as technological methods such as laser, radiofrequency liposuction and ultrasonic lipolysis. Modern techniques give better results than traditional liposuction. Most liposuction operations are performed around the abdomen and waist.

Additionally, liposuction is applied to different parts of the body such as the inner and outer part of the thighs, neck and upper arms. After the procedure, the patient can quickly achieve the body shape she imagines and return to her normal life in a short time.

Liposuction

The liposuction process starts with the determination of the areas that the patient wants to be treated. Then these areas are drawn on and marked by the specialist doctor. Local or general anesthesia is selected according to determining factors such as the area and duration of the procedure. Fat in the targeted area is melted with ultrasonic waves or radio frequency waves to facilitate the absorption process. Excess fat in the area prepared for the liposuction process is sucked through the 0.5 mm hole opened in the body by means of special tools.

Breast Lift

Breasts are one of the defining lines of the female body as well as an important part of female aesthetics with their features such as size, vitality and proportion to the body. Breasts may lose their shape due to aging, weight gain or loss, breastfeeding or just hereditary reasons. They may be disproportionate to the body. For this reason, women to have breast aesthetic surgery to achieve the ideal breast image has become more and more popular among women.

Breast tissue that is sagging due various reasons can be lifted with aesthetic operation. Which technique will be used in breast lift operation is determined by the cause of sagging. In the first meeting between the patient and the doctor, a breast examination is made and the appropriate technique is chosen. The operation is performed after establishing the patient’s psychological and physical readiness. Patients who experience sagging due to birthing and breastfeeding should have at least six months after the end of the breastfeeding period. Apart from this, breast lift operation can be applied to all patients without any physical discomfort.

Before the breast lift operation, the patient goes through a doctor’s control. Smoking, the use of various medications, especially the use of blood thinners, should be terminated because they will affect the operation and the healing process. Solid and liquid food consumption should be stopped at least 6 hours before the operation.

After the preliminary examination by the doctor, factors such as the shape of the breast, its size, the width of the nipple area, the degree of sagging and elasticity of the skin determine which technique will be used in the operation. With the specified technique, the operation is performed in the operating room under suitable surgical conditions.

During the operation, excess skin is removed, the nipple and breast tissue are shaped. Breast lift operations are performed under general anesthesia and take 2-3 hours on average. The swelling that occurs after the surgery starts to decrease after 1 week. As a result of the quality of the material used and the aesthetic stitching technique, there is no need for regular stitching and there is no permanent scar. Patients can return to their normal social and professional lives within 3-4 days. The breasts that have been operated take their targeted form after an average of 1 month.

Giving birth, breastfeeding, excessive weight gain post-surgery may cause sagging.

Breast Enlargement

The operation to increase the volume of the breasts, which are disproportionately small in volume in relation to the body, is called breast enlargement. In general, anyone can have breast augmentation unless they have any physical discomfort that prevents the operation. With this operation, breasts are brought to the desired dimensions with the placed prostheses. Breast size can be enlarged up to a few bra sizes.

The most common method used in breast augmentation operations is the prosthesis method. In the meeting with the specialist doctor, the patient’s psychological and physical readiness for the surgery, the tissue of the breast, the existing and targeted size are evaluated and the operation is decided.

The type and size of the prosthesis to be used, the incision site for the prosthesis are determined by the joint decision of the patient and the doctor. In general, in prosthesis placement operations, an incision can be made in one of three different areas: under the breast line, armpit line or under the nipple.

If no complications are encountered after the operation, the patient may be discharged on the same day or may need to stay in the hospital overnight. In order not to cause any harm, it is necessary not to do sports, carry heavy objects or raise the arms within a period of two weeks. Patient may return to normal professional and social life within a few days.

Breast augmentation does not constitute an obstacle in the patient’s sexual life or in situations such as pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is only recommended not to get pregnant within 6 months after the operation.
There may be loss of sensation or hypersensitivity in the nipple after the operation. This loss of sensation or hypersensitivity is temporary and disappears within a few months.

Breast Reduction

Breasts that grow or sag due to hereditary growth of breast tissue, breastfeeding, weight change, etc., can be brought to the desired size by breast reduction operation. In addition to aesthetic discomfort in women, excessively large breasts also cause physical discomfort such as back pain and body shape deformation. With the operation, the patient reaches the targeted dimensions both aesthetically and physically.

During the preliminary examination with the specialist doctor, how much the breasts will be reduced is determined taking into account the weight, height and body dimensions of the patient. If both breasts are of equal size, the operation is performed on both breasts. If the breasts are disproportionate, the breast to be treated is determined together with the patient.

After determining the technique to be used during the operation, how much the breast will be reduced and how it will be shaped, the operation is performed under general anesthesia in the operating environment prepared under appropriate conditions. Excess tissue is removed from the incisions made in the area determined by the doctor, the breast is shaped and the incision is sutured and the operation is terminated. The operation takes 2-3 hours on average and if there are no complications afterwards, it is necessary to stay in the hospital for 1 night. Post-operative bruises disappear completely within 7-10 days, swelling within 6-8 weeks. Full recovery and reaching a natural appearance takes 5-6 weeks.

In breast reduction operation, the results are permanent because tissue is removed from the area and growth is stopped. Breast reduction surgery can be performed on all patients who are over the age of 20, have completed their body development and do not have any physical disabilities. There is no obstacle for the patient to give birth and breastfeed after the operation.

Breast Reconstruction

Due to breast cancer, which is one of the most common types of cancer in women, it may be necessary to remove tumor tissue from the breast with mastectomy procedure, and sometimes the breast may be removed completely. Disruption of body shape and aesthetic deterioration with mastectomy cause traumatic consequences for women. Breast reconstruction operation can be performed during this procedure, if necessary, for patients whose breast shape is distorted due to the mastectomy procedure.

The most preferred method in the reconstruction process is the skin enlargement method. After the breast is removed, saline is injected into the temporary prosthesis placed under the breast skin and the skin is enlarged to the desired dimensions. This process can take several weeks.
After the skin reaches the desired size, the temporary prosthesis is removed with a second surgery and a permanent prosthesis is placed in its place.

Another method is the Flap method. In the flap reconstruction method, a new breast is made with tissue taken from different parts of the body. Sometimes a prosthesis can also be used.

The flap method is a more advantageous method because it provides a more natural appearance in the breasts after the operation, the healing process of the skin enlargement operation is long and there is a scar after the operation.

Although the duration of the operation varies according to the procedure and technique to be performed, it may take an average of 2 hours in operations using prostheses. Hospital stay is 1-3 days. The return to social and professional life will be in a few days. In operations where the patient’s own tissue is used, the operation time is between 4-10 hours and the hospital stay is 4-7 days. It takes 1 week to return to social life and professional life.
Patients should not do sports or lift heavy objects for 4-8 weeks, and should not have sexual intercourse after surgery. Operations such as breast lift, reduction or flap revision can be applied after breast reconstruction operation.

Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)

Formation of female type breasts in men over time is a condition that can be seen in almost half of the male population. Such a formation causes a feminine appearance and loss of self-confidence.
This problem can be solved with gynecomastia surgeries performed by specialist doctors.

Gynecomastia surgery is the process of removing excess tissue from small incisions made by means of micro cannulas. With the liposuction method, it is performed in 45 minutes and without any scar after the operation. In some special cases, the procedure can be performed with classical surgical methods.

Face Lift

Operations performed to eliminate sagging of the face, neck and under-chin skin and to stretch the face and cheekbones as a whole are generally referred to as face lift. Face lift operations are also done to stretch the cheekbones and the entire face. It takes an average of 2.5 – 3 hours under general anesthesia in the operating room by specialist physicians. After the operation, the patient’s face has a younger and more energetic appearance.

In the face lift operation, the facial skin is removed with an incision starting from the scalp that is above the ear and extending to the scalp located at the back of the head. The tissue forming the muscles causing the sagging is suspended with stitches and the excess skin is removed and the excess in the chin, cheek and temple areas of the face are removed. This operation also helps to remove the deep lines around the mouth.

After the facelift operation, the patient is usually discharged on the same day. Although there is usually no scar after the operation, in some cases, it is possible to leave 4-5 mm scars in the temple area and under the chin that are not easily noticed from the outside.

Severe complications are not expected after a facelift operation. Swelling, bruising and feeling of tension on the face for a while are normal effects of the operation and disappear in a short time. The patient’s eyes, nose and mouth are dressed in a way that does not affect daily life, and this dressing is removed within a maximum of two days. Operation stitches are removed after an average of one week, if no complications occur. After the operation, following the doctor’s recommendations and protecting the face from external factors, patient can return to normal social and professional life within 7-8 days. Female patients are able to put on make up within a week. Male patients should wait up to 3 weeks for a beard shaving.

Facial skin is open to sagging again with the aging effect of time, so a second operation may be required within 5-10 years.

Lip Aesthetics

Our lips have always been remarkable because they are in the center of our face, the focal point. Our lips may be thin from birth or lose their fullness and vitality over time with the effect of aging.

With the lip aesthetic operation, lips that are congenitally thin or that get thinner over time can be made fuller and more prominent without losing their naturalness.

Lip aesthetics can be performed using filling material without the need for any surgical intervention or, when necessary, by surgical intervention.

The method by which the operation will be performed is determined during the patient and doctor’s meetings in line with the requests and demands of the patient. Like thickening of thin lips, thinning of lips that are too thick is also possible with surgical operations.

Due to the shorter duration of the process in lip aesthetic operations, use of filling material is preferred to surgical operation. In this process, hyaluronic acid or the person’s own fat tissue is often used as filling material. In the surgical thickening procedure, a piece of tissue taken from certain points of the patient’s body is used. Lip aesthetics performed with local surgical procedures provide more permanent results than those made with filling materials. Local anesthesia is applied in surgical procedures.

There may be bruising and swelling on the lips after the operation. All these complications disappear within an average of 8-10 days.

In the thinning process, which is the opposite of lip thickening, the fat tissue is symmetrically removed from the mucous membrane of the lips and the lip is sutured with a special technique so that the suture scar is not visible. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia.

Eyelid aesthetic

As people age, especially from the age of 30, the face starts to sag. As the forehead and eyebrows start to sag, the eyelid skin becomes excessive and sags. The skin under the eyes sags with the effect of aging. Upper eyelid sagging, under-eye sagging and crowbar formation cause the face to look old. This aged appearance can be removed with eyelid aesthetics.

Eyelid aesthetics is the process of tightening the eye contour by removing excess fat and tissue that cause sagging around the eyes. It is a surgical application and aims to have a younger appearance of the patient.
In the meeting with the specialist doctor, the operation will be determined. The eye functions of the patient are examined and whether the patient is suitable for the operation is determined.

Eyelid operations take an average of half an hour for each eyelid. Local anesthesia is applied in upper eyelid operations and general anesthesia is performed in lower eyelid operations.

After the operation, tapes covering the eyelid that do not obstruct the vision of the eye are attached to the patient. It is normal to have mild leakage and bleeding after the operation. In order to minimize swelling and bruises around the eyes, the patient should apply ice compresses. Swelling and bruises begin to decrease from the third day following the operation. Tapes and stitches are removed within an average of 10 days.

The patient should stay away from heavy sports, sunbathing, solarium and humid environments such as sauna for a period of approximately 1.5 – 2 months.
After the operation, it is normal for the patient to be left with a very thin line under the eye and on the upper eyelid. Over time, these traces disappear completely.

Forehead Lift Aesthetics

With the aging effect of time, eyebrows drop, forehead wrinkles and the face looks old and tired. Forehead lift operations are performed to eliminate this old and tired appearance. With this operation, it is possible to have a younger, fresh and lively appearance.

In the meeting with the specialist surgeon, the facial structure of the patient is examined and the most suitable method for the operation is determined. The operation is performed under general anesthesia in the operating room environment.
In the forehead lift operation, which takes an average of 1 – 1.15 hours, first incisions are made in the scalp, then the excess skin on the forehead is removed and the muscles that cause wrinkles are weakened.

In the first days after the operation, there may be swelling, bruising and mild pain. The patient can continue his normal social and professional life after the 4th day.

Butt Lift

The hip area is one of the most significant factors in women’s aesthetics. Over time, the effects of aging and pregnancy, excessive weight gain or loss may cause dissatisfaction with butt aesthetics.

It is possible to eliminate aesthetic dissatisfaction such as butt enlargement, sagging, flattening and loss of arch with butt lift operations. In the meeting with the specialist surgeon, the most appropriate method is determined in line with the wishes and demands of the patient and the operation is scheduled.

Butt lift operations are performed in several different ways. The most preferred method is silicone prosthesis placement. In this operation, in which the hip is aimed to be higher and contoured, silicone prostheses are placed through the 5 cm incision in the invisible area in the middle of the butt arch in a way that will not be noticed from the outside. These prostheses make the butt look upright. If there is excess sagging in the buttocks, butt lifting and stretching operations are performed together. The purpose of this operation is to remove the excess skin with the incision and to make the butt lifted.

After the operation, patients stay in the hospital for one night. There may be pain and movement difficulties for a few days. In order to get the best and lasting result and to minimize the pain and edema complaints of the patient, special corsets that can only be removed while bathing are used for about a month.

Patients can return to their social and professional life within one week after the operation, and they can start doing sports after the 2nd week. Bruising, swelling and edema disappear after the 4th week after the operation.
